Yorgos Bolanos was born in Athens, Greece.
He studied photography & filmmaking at Tufts University / School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA and he received a B.F.A degree in Photography/ Film.
He then pursued graduate film studies, at the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, CA and he received a M.F.A degree in Cinematography.
Since then he has worked as a photographer in documentary projects,editorial,and advertising assignments, for agencies, magazines and has exhibited in various galleries.
